Welcome to Module 1. We will explore what Socioeconomic Status (SES) is and how it is determined. Most of us are familiar with terms dealing with class, such as upper class, middle class, and lower class. SES is the combination of our economic status plus social factors such assuch as our work experience, and our family background's economic access to resources in relation to others.
